Implementing the Black Community Media Infusion Program

The Black New World Order2Elevation is a process that originates in the mind. It begins with gaining an apprehension of who we are as a collective group of people; however, this is only the conception of the process. This is where the dream and vision of elevation is conceived. For the greatness of our people to become an actual reality, there must be a birthing of what has been conceived, and this is where the process transitions for conceptualization to participation.

In order to achieve greatness, we must be willing to take part in the process. We must not only speak of greatness, but we must willing to perpetuate great acts and strive for great milestones. I have poured a great deal of myself into the quest of elevating my people, whom I love unapologetically. As I enter the next phase of my journey to reach my people, I am not unaware of the multitudinous challenges that we will face. In the first quarter of this year, I have significant plans for The Odyssey Consortium and Odyssey Media Group as it pertains to the elevation and empowerment of the black community.

I will be executive producing and co-hosting a radio talk show (The Black Voice) and a Cable T.V. talk show (The Pulse with Dr. Rick Wallace). The T.V. show will produce two 10-episode seasons in the first year, while the radio show will be year round. I have the option of conducting the radio show nationally on internet radio, or I can do it locally on the local airwaves. I am still weighing my options on that. The local method is more expensive, but it will allow me to put my finger on the pulse of the community in Houston. At current, I am looking to partner with a small cable television network in Houston called Houston Media. This may change depending on the overall budget.

I will also be booking a national speaking tour to begin in the second quarter of 2015. Although it is my desire to have that tour pay for itself, I don’t want to hold the knowledge that I have been blessed with hostage, so I am working to build the funding capacity for this endeavor. It is my goal to move my primary efforts from social media to more direct methods of engagement. Social media platforms, such as Facebook are becoming more aggressive in the censorship of black activist, and it is time to take our campaign to the next level.

I am hoping that I can depend on each of you to provide a certain level of support as I embark upon this monumental journey. I have decided that I will not take the GoFundMe route to generate revenue this time around. First of all, I have no desire to share revenue with any entity that does not truly support the interest of my people. I would rather present the opportunity to each of you to lend your support and allow you to determine whether you will give.

My commitment is to my people, and I will be pressing forward to give all I have to lift them. I am asking you to join me by helping me fund this campaign. The estimated cost for the first half of the year exceeds $100,000, and I am asking the public to fund 25 percent of that ($25,000). Please use the donate button below to make your contribution. Your help is truly appreciated. I am also looking for those who would like to be a part of a team that is putting boots on the ground. I would like to thank you in advance. ~ Dr. Rick Wallace, Ph.D.

    Hello,

I am just learning about your organization and I find your work exciting and motivating. Are you familiar with any other groups that have a particular focus on the black woman and how she may help transform the black community through her actions, mothering, values, and love of the black man?

Thanks for your help and commitment.
