One of the first lessons that my business mentor taught me was not to spend a great deal of time attempting to reinvent the wheel. What he meant by this is that you should find things that have been proven to work and work on ways to improve them or to multiply their results. In fact, it can be quite challenging, but the reward makes it worth it. The greatest reward for me is not the money, because the money flow can shift. It is the freedom of not having to depend on anyone else to support my family.
