The Black Imperative

Let’s be clear about something. We are in the midst of a race war. This war has always existed during the history of this country.

While race almost always moves along ethnic lines, it is actually not about color. The concept of race was, initially, and still is, about the money and the power it creates.

Black people, the reason that you cannot beg and plead your way out of your current position, is because the source of your condition has nothing to do with morality and personal logic, and everything to do with power.

While the opposition incessantly exercised an endless list of pernicious machinations and assaults against us, the truth is that the current state of the black collective rests on the shoulders of the black collective. PERIOD!

Here is why.

People who are fewer than we on a global scale have systematically divided and conquered us, often using our own creations to do it. They convinced us that we were powerless and inferior to them, and we accepted it as truth, buried ourselves in self-hatred, leading to self-destruction.

Now we wander aimlessly about, simply hoping or praying for something better. We refuse to take ownership of our destiny, instead, choosing to place it in the hands of our enemies. We have refused to unite and come together. We refuse to take effective action. We spend our money loosely, without any type of spending agenda. We trust the enemy to educate our children, and expect to see our kids prosper in a world currently controlled by those who oppose us.

We disrespect and demean each other at immeasurable levels, while extending an automatic respect to the enemy. Some of the petty crap that keeps us divided and at each other’s throats is absolutely ridiculous.

The only time I see unity between blacks is when a click comes together for the purpose of destroying another black person and the work they are doing.

Look, I am completely aware of white supremacy racism and its role in the perpetual state of confusion and oppression of blacks, but as Dr. Umar Johnson puts it, “white supremacy is absolutely nothing without black compliance.”

It is time to stand up and take action. It is time to take responsibility for where we are. We not only chose integration, we fought for it, and it has played a substantial role in our continued decline. We chose to sell all of the businesses we owned for the right to patronized white businesses and live in white neighborhoods, but none of that came with economic stability and empowerment for the collective. It diluted our power and it stagnated our social mobility. By consistently spending our money in other economies, especially the white economy, we have been effectively financing our own demise.

Worst of all, we have allowed divisiveness to enter the black home — all but annihilating the black family nucleus. There is so much hostility between the black man and the black woman that sustaining a marriage is all but impossible.

Black men were convinced that it was an acceptable course of action to procreate with our women and then abandon our progeny. Black women were convinced that their six-figure salaries exempted them from needing a man, and even worst, they were convinced that there is something wrong with needing a man, especially a black man.

If we don’t come together and develop a focused spending agenda based on the concept of black group economics, practiced vertically, we will soon find ourselves on the verge of extinction, but not before going through the most horrible suffering imaginable. In case you have not noticed, the assault on blacks has intensified in direct correlation with our inability to respond.

The time for action is now ~ Dr. Rick Wallace, Ph.D.
