The Quintessential Black Man

I am a black man by every right, indicator and historical marker.

No, not by the measures and standards of main stream — I am much sharper

Not as seen through the paradigms of the conformist, my blood runs darker.

I am a black man because my strength perpetually transcends my moment.

Because not even your malevolent attacks will cause me to bow down,

Accessing my inner strength, I dominate the moment to own it.

I am the quintessential black man because I represent the true image of black men

Not allowing myself to be filtered through the fabric of immoral propaganda

I am the real measure of the innate power that resides in the DNA of royal descendants

I am the culmination of the perpetuation of the synthesis between the Genesis and the inherent antithesis of our white menaces.

I am power personified in the flesh, manifested through a spirit that does not acquiesce

To subtle suggestion that I am somehow less than that white mess that is being constantly presented as the best.

I am the quintessential black man.

Despite being seminally present for the transatlantic voyage toward the darkness of involuntary servitude, I still stand.

Despite the barrage of erroneous images that portray me as less than human I maintain command of my passions and press toward the elevation for my people — I am a man.

Despite the pernicious attacks against my person and my mind, I continue to see my vision lucidly,

Not caught up in the machinations you hid underneath the surface that might cause be to perform foolishly.

I am a black man

I have a chosen destiny that brings out the best in me, no more bondage, I am intellectually resurrection free.

I am a man because I have chosen not to beg for my freedom, but to forcefully claim it.

I am a man because I see the value in every black woman even when they can’t yet name it.

I am man because I refuse to be rendered docile and prostrate by false religion when God himself personally handed me my vision.

I am a man because I can see and connect to the pain of black youth,

Understanding that their rebellious nature is fortified by their search for truth.

I am a black man!

Not only am I a man, but I am a black man. Descending from God himself.

I have the spirit and power to move the universe with faith in my destiny as my only help!

The power of my blackness is revealed in the fact that I take on forces of evil each day.

The fact that I refuse to ask God to remove the Giants in my life that he sent me to slay.

I am the power source of my people, those you thought for sure had become sheeple.

Nah, we are still here in all of our royal grandeur, their only needed to be an awakening.

Now freedom is ripe for the taking.

What separates this black man, and those like him, from cowards like you? Let’s see…

I’m charismatic, a winner by nature,

You’re hazmatic, a pure-bread hater.

You are not yet a believer, but like every strong black man, I’m a dream weaver.

Braving the impossible — receiving the unachievable.

I’m a king by nature, royalty is my lineage and pedigree.

So instead of referring to me as boy or nigger, I would prefer you address me as his-majesty.

I didn’t come to seek equality, but the rise of our people to our rightful place at the pinnacle of society.

I came to elevate and liberate my people from the darkest form of oppression, depression at the hands of your aggression.

I came to relieve them from the emotional castration and the psychological maturbation of their supreme intellect.

To lift the weight of their spiritual exacerbation in order to bring them greater revelation of the exact meaning of emancipation.

I am the quintessential black man!

Before you call me arrogant and self-centered, understand my superior paradigm.

Why I seem to walk in the sublime and speak like I’m divine.

When I say that I am the quintessential black man, the statement is transcendent,

Meaning that I no longer stand independent, but joined to every strong black man in unity.

I am the quintessential black man because I am my brothers and my brothers are me.
